The product

Studio is a B2B SaaS product from Talksome that lets businesses manage call routing through a drag-and-drop interface, giving them full control over their telephony setup without unnecessary complexity.

The project

Studio was originally built by developers rather than designers. Over the years, new features were stacked on top of a weak design foundation, and the product became harder to use and maintain as it grew. It serves IT administrators who set up and maintain telephony for their organization, so it needed to be information-dense and efficient. It shares a component set with Bridge, Talksome’s call center application for front desk staff, but is styled differently to suit its audience.

My role

I was responsible for the entire end-to-end design process: conducting user interviews, creating wireframes and prototypes, iterating on user feedback, and handing the designs over to development. As part of that, I designed and maintained the custom component library and page templates behind both products, which gave Studio a proper design foundation and became the basis of a design system adopted across Talksome.

As the foundation took shape, building new features and redesigning pages became about three times faster, since components and templates could be reused. The same standards now underpin Talksome’s broader product portfolio.
